4 Ingredients to Make Delicious Homemade Bread!
1. All-purpose Flour
Since this recipe is for beginners, I kept it super simple by using my basic all-purpose flour and I’ve had amazing results!

2. Salt
Regular table salt works perfectly. You could also use fine Himalayan pink salt
3. Water
Use room temperature and filtered water is best if possible.
4. Active Dry Yeast
This is the one I used for my last couple of breads and I have no complaints!
This active dry yeast can be found in any supermarket and on Amazon if not available near you.

A cast iron Dutch oven pot

The Easiest Homemade Bread Ever: A Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1 – In a mixing bowl, combine the room temperature water and active dry yeast.
Step 2 – Mix the active dry yeast with water until dissolved and let rest for 10 minutes.
Step 3 – Add the flour and the salt to the water and dry yeast mixture and mix well.
Step 4 – Cover the mixture and let it rest for 2h, it should double its size.
Step 5 – On a well-floured surface, place your dough and fold it a couple of times. Lay it flat and fold it on itself. When you’ve done the fold a couple of times, create a round dough and let it rest for 30 minutes.
Step 7 – Grease your cast iron Dutch oven pot and place your dough in it.
Step 8 – Cut an ”X” in the dough like shown.
Step 9 – Bake at 428°F, place your cast iron Dutch oven pot in the oven with the lid for 30 minutes.
After 30 minutes, take off the lid and continue baking for another 20 minutes.
How To Store Your Fresh Homemade Bread
You can easily store your homemade bread in the fridge for 5 days in a closed container.
There are no issue either to keep your bread at room temperature, that being said, it might last less longer than 5 days on the counter.
Can I Freeze This Homemade Bread For Later?
Yes! You can tightly wrap the loaf in plastic wrap and place it in the freezer for up to two months.
