Honey Mustard Chicken Ingredients

✦✧ Raw Honey

✦✧ Stone Ground Mustard or Dijon

✦✧ Olive Oil

✦✧ Apple Cider Vinegar

✦✧ Fresh Garlic

✦✧ Paprika

✦✧ Salt & Pepper

✦✧ Cajun Seasoning: It’s my sister who introduced this spice mix to me and it became a staple in my kitchen ever since.

How To Make Homemade Honey Mustard Marinade

✦✧ In a large mixing bowl, combine all the ingredients
the raw honey, stone ground mustard, olive oil, garlic, paprika, sea salt, ground black pepper, apple cider vinegar, and cajun seasoning, and stir well.

✦✧ In a container or large Ziploc bag, add your chicken to the marinade and fully submerge it making sure it’s coated evenly.

✦✧ Cover with plastic wrap and place in the fridge for at least an hour or up to one night.

✦✧ Lay your marinated chicken on a baking sheet with aluminum foil. Add extra marinade to the chicken and place it into the oven at 400° F for 1h, turning the chicken halfway.

How To Make Delicious Chicken Marinade Every Time?

Making a good marinade isn’t complicated BUT there are some basic rules to follow to make it a success every time.

✦✧ You need a form of fat, whether it’s oil, full-fat yogurt, or buttermilk.
✦✧ You need acidity, this could be acid from vinegar or citrus fruit.
✦✧ You need plenty of seasonings like spices and fresh or dried herbs.

Can You Freeze This Honey Mustard Marinade?

Absolutely! Make a batch in advance for those days you don’t feel like cooking at all.

Simply pour the honey mustard chicken marinade into a resealable, freezer-friendly bag, add your chicken, and freeze the entire bag for up to 3 months.


When you’re ready to cook it, simply thaw the chicken in the marinade overnight in the refrigerator and cook and bake however you’d like.

This marinade is extremely versatile and that’s why it’s also one of my go-to for when I don’t feel like cooking much.

Indeed, you can use this recipe on different meat. Add it to your vegetables and sauté on the pan for extremely tasteful veggies.

This marinade recipe could be bottled up and it would be sold out! It's simple but tasty turning your dry boring chicken into a gourmet meal.

  • 1 mixing bowl
  • 1 spatula to mix

Ingredients
  

  • 1/4 cup raw honey
  • 1/3 cup stone ground mustard
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt
  • 1/2 tsp cajun seasoning

Instructions
 

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine all the ingredients
