Place them in a freezer-safe bag or container and freeze for up to 3 months.
To enjoy frozen muffins, thaw them at room temperature for 1–2 hours.
Warm in the microwave for 15–20 seconds.

The Best Healthy Apple Oatmeal Muffins for On-the-Go Snacking

These moist and flavorful apple oatmeal muffins are the perfect balance of wholesome and delicious! Made with fresh apples, rolled oats, and other wholesome ingredients, they’re a guilt-free snack or breakfast you can take anywhere. Packed with fiber and nutrients, these muffins are quick to make and even easier to enjoy!

Ingredients
  

  • cup whole wheat flour
  • ¾ cup rolled oats
  • tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ cup vegetable oil
  • ¾ cup applesauce
  • cup maple syrup or honey
  • 3 eggs room temperature
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup milk milk alternatives works as well!
  • 1 cup finely chopped apples

Optional Wholesome Ingredients To Add

  • cup granola I did put granola in these muffins for extra crunch
  • ¼ cup chia seeds
  • ¼ cup hemp seeds

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F and line a muffin tin with paper liners or grease it lightly.
  • In a large bowl, combine rolled oats, flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
  • In another bowl, whisk together applesauce, maple syrup or honey, eggs, milk, vegetable oil and vanilla extract until smooth.
  • Gradually pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients, stirring gently until just combined. Avoid overmixing.
  • Gently fold in finely chopped apples and any optional add-ins like nuts or raisins or granola.
  • Divide the batter evenly among the muffin cups and add finely chopped apples on top for pretty apple muffins!
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 18-22 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean
  • Allow the muffins to cool in the tin for 5 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
